Having never used a drying towel before I have nothing to compare the Gauntlet too but have to say it’s great to use and certainly drinks water. I had no need to wring it out while using and certainly would recommend it.

This towel is great, left no marring and soaked up water easily. Its abit hard to wring the water out after it had collected quite abit so i recommend you get the bigger one

This is a super towel. It’s very soft and very effective. On my coated cars I use the open hose technique and then an air blower to remove most of the water. I find that one of the small towels is sufficient to mop up any remaining droplets. Or I use one of the small towels together with a detailing spray. Wash on a low temperature, allow to air dry and use a soft brush to raise the pile. Recommended.

12 x 12 Gauntlet for the last step in drying
I bought several packages of the smallest 12 x 12 gauntlet towels and found them very effective and easy to use for drying the smaller harder to reach places. I feel this is a better and safer option to the platinum pluffle that I have been using for this purpose before.
